#10 - TRIGGERFISH
|
Triggerfish are so named
because the first of the three stout spines can be locked
upright, but can be released by depressing the third
spine or the "trigger".This locking ability
allows them to lodge themselves in crevices for
protection or during feeding, and makes them less
desirable to preditors. They have a tough skin and
plate-like scales with the texture of sandpaper.
This makes them extremely difficult to print.
The Triggerfish shown here was caught in the Gulf
of Mexico. Print only - 11"X17" Price = $18.50 Single Matt - 18"X24" Price = $38.00 (Matt Color - Blue) Double Matt - 18"X24" Price = $45.00 (Outer Matt Color - White Inner Matt Color - Blue) |
